Oh, just that opening a thread and having a sound file or video start up (many folks embed in a way that causes auto-play) or having a linked image either causing huge scrolling problems or use up some other poor schlub's bandwidth are just nitpicks of mine. If no rule is implemented, it really won't bother me a lot. :)

Nice to be aboard! :)

O.k. Yeah, I agree with this. I thought you meant the YouTube links and such.

While the "Be Mature" could cover a lot, you might want to be specific about things like swearing, adult images, etc. Who are the moderators and for what will someone be banned? Although this last one I could see staying away from to avoid the rules lawyers....

Yeah, this one could be a problem for me.

Post Re: Mission Statement, Guidelines and rules
Here's something which always trips me up.

There are two conflicting policies which tend to show up on most forums:

-Don't start a new thread if a thread for that topic already exists.
-Don't post in a thread which hasn't been posted in for a few weeks.

Often there seems to be an 'unwritten rule' that the former is only in effect until the latter comes into effect, but the contradiction still annoys me. Personally I've never thought either rule made much sense on a small forum like this one. But it's not my place to draft rules on a forum I've only been a member of for a few hours.

I just want to avoid pissing anybody off with my 9th level Thread Necromancy spells.
