Post [Necronomicon] 1 out of 4 is only good in baseball...
This past weekend I was slated to run four games at Necronomicon in St Petersburg, FL. I led off with Lady Blackbird at 4 PM on Friday. It was a full table, I had to turn two people away. A rocking game, very successful, turned a few people onto Shadow of Yesterday (one of the games that inspired Lady Blackbird).

Right after that, I was slated to run Inspectres, a game I've had much success with at previous cons. Nobody signed up, three of the players from Lady B went to the Mountain Witch game instead (which is a very cool game).

Then, I was supposed to run Shotgun Diaries, a zombie survival RPG by John Wick. The theme of the con this year was zombies, so I was very excited at the potential for a full table. But nobody signed up, nobody showed up. Same thing for my 10 AM Sunday game of Lacuna. I had a feeling Lacuna might not make, so that didn't hurt so much.

I wasn't the only lonely GM. At every slot, I saw two or three GMs sitting at tables by themselves. I was pretty dismayed. Pathfinder and Savage Worlds went well. There were huge (10 or so) groups of people playing "Are You a Werewolf?" throughout the con.

This was my first Necro. It was clean, relatively well-organized, lots of space for gaming. But, people who attended, weren't that into RPGs, I guess. I'm not entirely sure I'll go next year.

The Lady Blackbird game was super awesome, though.
