Yep. Look over the oracles and what others have interpreted from them. Name more characters if you see them. Then pick one for your very own.

I'm interested in playing a female demon who employed the child messenger to deliver the insulting, perfumed note. Is that too much of a combination?

Maybe.
There's already some facts surrounding these elements.
Up thread I named some facts about the child and note. I am growing more attached to the child as my PC (the the details I named surrounding him).
Mountzionryan wrote:
I am leaning toward playing the child messenger, the heir of the Satrap of Konar Zandal. The note is a proposal of marriage between myself and the daughter of the Shah of Shurupaak. If this is the case, I would add at least one or two more characters to the list. The son of the Satrap has an "Amazonian" bodyguard* and a manservant.

I am happy to give up the facts about the insulter and insulted I named in exchange for getting to keep the child and note the way I described.
Mountzionryan wrote:
And lastly an insulter and and insulted...this one is convoluted...The bandits are actually no mere brigands. They are the remnants/decendants of a tribe of nomads who once served as Imperial Cavalry. Amongst their family and followers is a promising young sorcerer. The sorcerer has made numerous attempts to improve his standing and influence among the bandits. Most recently the leader of the captian's bodyguard insulted him in front of a gathering of the other bandit leaders.

Is there a way to work in your she-demon into the facts already named.

Ultimately Droog will need to adjudicate.

Ramak bin Istravastra
Heir to the Satrap of Kovar Zandal
the child messenger
  • covertly d4,
  • directly d12,
  • for myself d10,
  • for others d6,
  • with love d8,
  • with violence d6

Particular Strength: Amazon personal guard
A small cadre of women warriors traditionally protect the Satrap of Kovar Zandal and his heir.
A special whistle, worn round the neck calls the Amazons to action.

It is used with violence or for myself8*. For NPCs it is used in action.
Significance 1.
It's die is a d8.
*second for because it is broad.

Ah well, MZR, looks like you have something already cooking. Sorry I overlooked it. I really shouldn't be posting while at work.

I drop the she-demon idea, especially since it seems gonzo.

I'll think up something else later.

I don't think a she-demon is particularly gonzo; I could see it in a Conan story. One thing though, don't create too much backstory. You might want to keep it a little loose until we do best interests.

You could have, but four is about the maximum I want to handle at a time. However, IaWA is organised as a game where players can drop in and drop out, so keep watching.

So far we have the child messenger and the bandit queen's bodyguard as player characters; with a possible she-demon. It's looking good. We await boulet's character, and the rest of you to create your chrs, and then we'll do best interests.

I'm going to start creating NPCs now. [EDIT: Wait, I can't do that until boulet chooses his.]
