 Apocalypse World
While I'm waiting for responses in two other games, I thought, why not see if there's interest in Apocalypse World. I was thinking of writing a review but playing is more fun. I'm seeing a hot future, where the ocean waves move sluggishly from the emulsified oil in the sea, where the sky is yellow from clouds of sulphur, where violent weather strips the soil from rock and blows rust in from the deserts. Where a harsh voice at the edge of sanity says this is no longer a world for humans...

 Re: Apocalypse World
Do I need AW to play?
And is one of the games our nearly still-born IAWA game?

 Re: Apocalypse World
Yes, IaWA is one. No, you can probably struggle along without the rules. Feast your eyes on the character playbooks (PDF) if you like.

 Re: Apocalypse World
Ideally, I'd like this game to go forward without stalling. I don't find that PbP takes up a huge amount of my time, so I'm happy to commit to the game for the foreseeable future. I can see AW having legs, and I think it's a pretty good candidate for online play. So please, anybody who wants to play, let's try and get this one rolling properly. I'm not getting on anybody's case about the other games (haven't we all started many a game that didn't go anywhere?), but this game will take a certain amount of effort from me and I'd like to gather players that are prepared to step up.

 Re: Apocalypse World
I can play. I can commit to posting nearly every weekday, several times if need be. My job allows me lots of free time on the web. Weekends will be a little spotty for me. I can get a copy of the rules from a friend. I was just thinking I'd like to look into some other PbP play as IAWA seems stalled. AW seems to be a popular choice for PbP.
I'm in like Flynn.

 Re: Apocalypse World
This is a game I'm very interested in, but once again I frankly doubt I could spare the time on a stable and regular basis to be a good participant. <sigh> I need to get some of my projects finished to free up some time!

 Re: Apocalypse World
I'm in.
Let's start toying with ideas about scarcity. One that's nasty : flea & tick collars scarcity. Just kidding... Though tough survivors scratching each others back are catchy.

Isn't it all scarcity?

 Re: Apocalypse World
Reading the rulebook now. Strongly leaning toward a Hocus. Maybe a Gunlugger.
