Post Who's Writing An Adventure Just Now?
Just out of curiosity, is there anyone here who is writing an adventure just now?

What rules?

What genre?

What can you tell us about it?

Thanks,

Craig J. Brain

Okay,

Since nobody is leaping at this one - I'll start off.

I am writing a sci-fi adventure for Metamorphosis Alpha 1st Edition (I may convert it to play test a D&D4e game some friends are working on) set in an abandoned city. This is an early draft map of the building missing a lot of the rubble, the streetscape and the roof :)

The adventure will revolve around the characters being chased through the city by a pack of creatures and needing to escape. This building could lead to their salvation or it could serve as their tomb.

When I finish it, it will be another free download for our forum members - after we have used it for a 'con or two ;) Part of it will also be used in a product that I have coming up.

Great maps! I love the choice of classic module colour. Dare I guess that you did those in MS Paint? I'd be interested in hearing more about the Metamorphosis Alpha community.

As for my adventures, I'm in the brainstorming phase of a one-shot for Slasher Flick. Right now, I'm just getting input from the players and mulling around some ideas in my head. When things start to solidify, you'll hear about it here as I'll be asking for input from The Haven.

I'm currently writing an adventure for my Metal Earth viewtopic.php?f=10&t=150 setting. I haven't decided on a rule set yet. Savage Worlds or True20 both seem like likely choices, although I may use D&D 4.
it will have something to do with giant worms, a weather control tower, secret societies, mammoth riding pastoral nomads, insane robots, and boobs.
It will be centered around Ssaur*, and and the Wurm*.
I will post in in the thread linked above whenever I finish it.

I had no idea that Slasher Flick was a game - not being funny or anything - I saw the review heading and thought you were talking about a movie.

Now I am curious.

I did the maps using a heap of programs - mainly in Photoshop/GIMP, Paintbrush and DungeonCrafter. I make my own tiles and then assemble them using DungeonCrafter, finetuning them with Photoshop.

I am working on two books of PA sci-fi geomorphs using this style. Nearly finished the trains :)

Now I have to go find out about Slasher Flick...

I think I read a little somewhere about your setting :)
If it's got robots - color me there...

At this moment I am writing a Necessary Evil (Savage Worlds) adventure in which the terrorist cell are being sent to "retire" another cell that has gone off the grid.

They will find one member on a Hulk-like rampage, two others have returned to a life of crime, the fourth is trying to side with the aliens that have invaded the planet and the fifth has ditched the costume game altogether in hopes of a quiet life with their kids.

The purpose of the adventure is mainly to show the guys how seriously OMEGA takes its cells, and defectors from said cells...and I'm wanting to see just where the guys stand on the "hero/villain axis" when they are sent to kill the retired mother...incidentally, there is no "wrong answer"...killing her shows their benefactor he can trust them to follow orders in hairy situations, letting her live in some manner shows that they may be compassionate enough to truly save the world.

* For those unfamiliar with the game, Necessary Evil is a supers setting in which aliens have taken over the planet, killing most of the world leaders and superheroes, leaving the villains behind to try to fight back. It has been released for Savage Worlds.

These both sound like great adventures :)

I have just (well, a couple of days ago) gotten started on the next chunk of my newest adventure. It involves a train wreck :)

Again, this is a very early draft - minus the debris and additional detail that you would expect.

I'm writing two. I'm working on a Dawnlands mini-campaign for the dudes I played that 4e delve with to show them that 4e can be used to RP just like other adventures. I don't have a specific timeline on when we're going to play it, but hopefully before the end of the year. I think I'm going to run the first part of the Rise of the Snake storyline.

The other is an adventure that I'm hoping to sell to FFG for Dark Heresy. I'm currently working on it and playtesting it as I go through a PbP on rpg.net

IC: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=442702
OOC: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=442697

You'll need to be logged in to RPG.net to read those, unfortunately, since the PbP forum is members only.
