Putting together my campaign between game sessions. It's just mostly brainstorming on a macro scale, the particulars of the actual adventures being very fluid at the moment. Sample area map:

If you think to yourself "OMG isn't it a blend of Greyhawk and Castle Zagyg?" then yes, I have to admit you are right. Plus a bunch of other components, actually, published and otherwise.

Drawing some other maps for a project I can't talk about (NDA).

And still fleshing out the particulars of the Black Abbey, a mega-dungeon I've been thinking about for the past... two years at least.

Thanks! This is a labor of love, really. This is part of my comeback to the roots and will soon appear on my blog, the Citadel of Eight. I'm still working out what will be talked about, when, and then will post the next update.

I'm in the middle of writing two 4e adventures.

One's for my regular Wednesday gaming group, where they're trying to figure out just what's been bringing things from another plane to their peaceful little village.

The other is for the EN World Chicago Gameday: A 19th level romp through the jungles of Chult (a 4e game in the 3e realms--can't stand the 4th ed. treatment of the realms) in search of fabled treasure. I expect dinosaurs, man-eating plants and other assorted jungle goodies to be present.

What gave it away? Certainly not the title.

(Raiders of the Lost Crusaders Temple (of DOOOOOOOOM) for those not on EN World...)

I run a weekly campaign for RQ3/BRP, so I'm constantly planning adventures . I just barely keep a week or two ahead of the PCs. Our game is set in a fantasy bronze age world flavoured by middle-eastern and south asian spice. It is most heavily inspired by R.E. Howard, C. Ashton Smith, and Marco Polo, but many other authors and works rear their heads, too. The game has a very mythical, ancient feel and is pretty far from vanilla fantasy (which I currently find very tiresome).

An excerpt from our campaign log can be found here, if anyone is curious: http://www.runequest.za.org/article/art ... /191/1/41/

Last year, when I had more time on my hands, I developed 3D models for some of the adventure locations. I pulled these up on the laptop during the game we had a field day exploring the locations on screen while we played.

Amongst the models I made was this 3D map of a city they spend quite a bit of time in. I also did a nepalese inspired palace, an asian temple, and a room buried under the desert where they found a map they were looking for. I really enjoy doing these, but sadly don't have the time lately.

Those maps are amazing! Well done.

How did you make them?
